Arrival At Taiwan!

On the 15th of Jun, we have set off to taiwan to celebrate our 10th years of friendship, in hope that we spend the very best time together in the next twelve days to know each other better and see what changes there is for we have not see each other for so long and this trip also mark our graduation trip. After this trip, our path might cross but our lives will be different because we are heading towards adulthood, where money and property will be our "main" concern. Liveless right, well that's life. This is also my first time sitting in an airplane for such a long time , 4 hours man. First time with Airasia X which has total of nine seats in each row, very big indeed. However a bit disappointment with their menu though, it is worse than the one i sit from brunei to kl and vice versa. How can there be so little things on the menu? and i have a four hours flight? doesn't make any sense at all. Plus it is much more expensive if u come back from taiwan to kl. Trust me, not worth to buy it but all well i still fell into trap cause four hours mah, nothing better to do but munch.

So here we are all five of us, with smiley faces boarding the Airasia X, full of hopes heading to our destination, Taiwan, the heart of Asia. The airplane is packed with people, i don't think there is any empty spaces lor. The toilet design was weird, i maybe stupid, cos i cannot recognized the one that is sticks to the wall. It seriously looked like the wall, hmm. I guess my eyes are not that good to find its knob.

Tadah, after four hours of sitting down on the plane, its time to get out and say hello to TAOYUAN Airport. It was very nice of them providing the track that links to the door of the airplane ( pardon me, i don't know what that really call so i only can describe). If you were in Miri airport you won't be seeing it. The immigration officers are very nice, greeted us and even told us not to worry about the incoming typhoon, since it is quite a normal thing in taiwan. The imigration queue was very long, but they were very efficient and there are even people to monitor and control the situation like a traffic police of some sort to decrease the queue line. Although we maybe chinese, i am not really used to speak full mandarin all the time so it is still amazed and weird to hear people of the same kind speaking something that is familiar yet different tone in a foreign place.
At the luggage belt, i was also amazed by the presence of immigration police dog. From what i see is that it supposed to sniff all the bags on the luggage belt and if it stayed on a certain luggage too long, the immigration officer will take the luggage down and put it aside, of course i don't know what is the fate of the luggage afterwards. But i suppose they are checking on the drugs or some prohibited items, isn't that what the tv portrays dogs to be on the TV? haha.

After getting our luggage, we head towards to the counter ( i think it is the taiwan tourism counter bah), there we signed up for our youth card. She also verified our passport before give the cards to us. She also provide us with a book that says where you can make full use of the travel youth card.

Next on the list, we need to get a sim card. This is to facilitate us to contact our minsu's owner as well as the most important thing to do is that to call our parents to report of our safety arrival in taiwan. While Kahhou getting our simcards, the girls went to grab some small bits at the bakery store. We bought some breads and mineral water. It is obviously we are hungry, cos the menu in the Airasia was little and expensive, we just shared among ourselves, so after the four hours trip, we are so so hungry! In the bakery store, we realized that taiwan do not give us plastic bags. See how pampered we are, now its time to get use to the environment friendly taiwan for the next 12 days. By the way, their toilets also do not allow for tissue paper to be thrown down the toilet bowl. Even their hand towels are recycled papers.

Next up is to buy bus tickets to head to taipei main station. The one we are taking is the number 1819. The queue was very long indeed. Oh my, since our flight had delayed don't think we can get to taipei main station early. Plus mind you the bus travel time is one hour. After queuing up, we were given stickers to place on our luggage bag. i think it was good, so that it was easier to remember whose luggage is whose since there are so many people boarding the bus. After that we started took pictures with the Taoyuan airport signboard while in the queue. hehe, also of course our all time favourite formation one selca pictures and of course breathing in taiwan air! haha
