I pricked someone's hand!!!

This look like the lancet i used this morning... but mine is in white colour...
this is the same as the procedure of how i pit the lancet into the equipment which i dunno what it is called... hehe... i pricked my friend's hand (michelle choo) haha... she said feel nothing but i dunno whether it is true or not...

This equipment is quite hard to use.. u must follow the procedure exactly and dun misinterpreted it.. cos it will caused serious error..

just like the number shown in the end of the lancing device (haha now i knew what it is called thanks to this pic) 1, 2, 3. we usually turn to the 2 when it comes to finger.. the numbers actually is the depth the needle will go into ur flesh... yea so becareful..

we had hard time putting the lancet and also the turn the top of the lancet

but it is great experience!!!

Days spent so far (hehe wif more pics that are belated)

pls see this with tilted head.. sorry for inconvenience...

First impression of nursing

My Lecturer asked me to write on the first impression we have on nursing in a journal book and read it when it is four yrs later... i decide to write here instead..
After only two days of nursing class.. i start to feel something about nursing as a career..
I never thought in my life i will take up nursing...
I took nursing just because engineering will be tough for me and so i choose nursing as it seems easier to me when i am doing the decision
I felt that nursing is not that kind of easy course as i am taking degree in nursing and not diploma which is a great difference from wat my teacher said...
First impression on nursing is that:-
1) it involves more hands on
2) no need to study so much like medicine, pharmacy
3) a lot of dirty jobs involved
4) many more.. but overall is i think is easier to do la...
but then only after 2 days,
i already start changing my thoughts and because of that i could write well on the first impression now as i start to contain 2nd impression in me.
i have been influence by my lecturer that nursing seems like a very honourable career and it is quite a challenge.
This is because we not only have to learn about the procedures and basic knowledge of those injections cleaning people buttocks which i had in mind earlier... it is more than that.
We got to learn in depth of why we do all the procedures and now as a graduate we have the right to challenge the doctors... so lihai hoh... i dunno la maybe my lecturer is bluffing me
There are many challenges we have to face like quick reactions to face pop up situations in hospitals and we had to in charge our patients' everything even after he is not in hospital. Unlike the doctors jus gave med, or operation then can go le... we nurse have to take care of the patient, patient family and the environment...
We deal with far more things... sometimes things are out of control and even no solution
I hate one thing is that we got to control our emotions..
but i like one thing that my lecturer says
" Nurses can do job without doctors, but the doctors can't do job without nurses"
Can u imagine??

New Life at IMU

"IMU..... IMU.... IMU!"
quoted from imu song.
hehe only know this part of the song...
plus+++ susan and i love this part of the song
why cos it is catchy plus we sang it most the time
It do not sound like a school song though so the seniors said...
" if too stress can sing this song, TO DISTRESS"
LOL

-First day in IMU-

Quite ok and or should i say a little bit bored as it includes all the briefing and all those talking and stuff...
the most interesting part is that we NURSING have a LIGHTING ceremony which the Seniors don't have... ( BTW they are jealous FYI from Ms KONLANDAI)
haha
i personally enjoy the taking of student ID photo plus taking all the documents
The briefing on orientation is quite fun especially the video of sailormoon...

-Second day in IMU-

In the morning as usual lor.... briefing and briefing...
but come to 5.00 pm
it is the start of the orientation...
we was told that we gonna get dirty
u know with wat or not??? u have no idea really!!!!
it is with black ink, garlic water, flour...
basically u get the mix of those three things in every station of the game...
Today we didn't won much of the station game due to low spirits i think...

-Third day in IMU-

Briefing again...
Dirty orientation again...
this time no feeling liao.. unlike the first time shout shout shout....
this time with more spirit we won four station games and lost two
washing of clothes when reached home again....
tired again...

-Fourth day in IMU-

Today the day is quite short.
As we are suppose to go outing at 5.00 pm
but all of us is tired so we just went around IMU to collect seniors' signature...
after that we went back le...
I cook Soup for my dinner..
at first tot susan will be coming back mah...
later when knew that susan went for the outing then i eat and drink the soup with rice

-Fifth day-
Mtv night..
i skip classes to practice the dance ...(hehe .. bad girl right)
but that's becos our song is very fast song... it jus drives the whole gang crazy...
On the night we somemore need to wear exactly like a street fighter characther to dance the fast song...
so hard lor...
in the end our dance move is very luan... and messy
but nvm la.. the thing is we have fun

-Last Orientation day-
Grand finale...
GREAT performance by seniors..
IMU idols is great too..
erm maybe the jay chou is laoya a bit la..
The runway was funny...
susan look great!!
but overall great although our group didn't get the tokens...
In the canteen we even " yam seng"

P.s for more info pls go to online zero...

About the student ID i got a bit bu shuang...

Sudden change to NEXT chapter of my life...

I was all ready for AUSTRALIA curtin perth... and suddenly... a big surprise from my dad who is currently still in M'sia...

I am being accepted to do NURSING in IMU for 4 years degree with honours...

So there there i can choose again... between engineering and nursing... what a big difference in course...

Okay there are many advantages for nursing compared to engineering that is mention by my parents cos they suddenly so interested in the IMU offer:
1) It is got a promotion during this 2008 intake ( U.P 75k) now is 60K.
2) It is in M'sia so therefore very close to family, it means flight cost is cheaper as well as my parents can visit often PLUS My relative can help my parents look after me ( i hate this last advantage cos no freedom)
3) this is a degree course compared to aus engineering is in diploma..
4) accomodation and living cost is cheaper in Msia too.

5) Although engineering course is much more future than it is for nursing ( cause when u come out the only job u can do is nursing) , however, engineering is more suitable for guys and not girl like me...

SO the conclusion is i am taking NURSING...

Sorry to ppl who initially told that i was taking engineering..

It shocked u as mush as it shocked me.....

My life is always unexpected... and i hate it sometimes.
