EOS

Finally i saw some light of internet... there are some reasons why i am Disconnected.
1st: laptop spoilt... hehe solution to it is my new cool desktop ( i think this time i choose desktop because it seems to be easier for laptop to spoil especially it doesn't last longer than 3 years)
2nd : due to my posting area had no internet at all ... therefore i spent days of my posting playing computer games named Wedding dash thanks to SUYEE... and watch tvb shows thanks to HT... If u are at our posting area... it looks like a cyber cafe as all the laptops will collect together and with many users with one laptop provided u watch movie cos it is impossible to play games with two users...
3rd: Exam is around the corner... Today is the day i am going to get my result and at the moment still got 40 mins b4 the release of my EOS result... GOD bless me**

Since the lost of internet, 4 weeks of interesting events that happen during the PD posting are unable to post or noted down... but there are pictures to remind parts of the trip memories...
The conclusion of the trip is that this time or class is separated into groups of the same kind of people which means the people in each clicks with each other... that makes the trip fun and memorable..

During the working life of my posting many things are really " EYE opening" which many days couldn't say finish... the only thing i could say that :" if i am old, i will never go for government hospital although it costs me a lot"

One more week in TSH

After reading kelly's blog, i really want to spent another 4 weeks in Tung Shin... Seriously...
Although we need to wake up early and walk walk to the hospital under hot hot sun, but i felt that Tung shin is much more better than PD( although i never went there, but reading Kelly's blog makes me thinks that Pd SUcKS?!) haha .. it is not confirmed yet until i went there...

Overall at tungshin, really very good, as we are posted to ward 7 not 6 ( a more busy ward cos it is third class ward) so it means ours is 2nd class ward... where the place is cool cool not hot hot... but i sweat like hell before into the ward due to hot hot sun outside...

the Patients there were nice... like to talk to them... i dunno whether it is consider lucky or not, everytime is my shift, there is many people discharge before my shift of during my shift... or admission during my shift... u know la... when it is discharge, ppl is healthy le... where need ur assitance? for those who just admitted oso quite healthy becoz they haven undergo surgery, so also consider semi healthy... before surgery cannot eat drink, where do my service come in then??? after surgery they need to sleep for 6hrs, also no need companion but observations still need la.... So i only need to serve those who stay longer time one... so little, so is it lucky for me or not le? i CANNOT GEt CROSS la..

The Nurses there are quite nice ... they let us try lots of things, willing to give us chance to hands on on everything there... i dunno whether Kelly can meet them or not, cos they are leaving soon... i am not sure the next batch of student nurse are as nice as them or not... but she might still get chance to meet the STAFF nurse and ASSISTANt nurse la... they are fixed there. erm student AN maybe not then cos they are going back to their studies.

NOw talk about my Assignment, i was suppose to choose a patient that i take and write on the nursing care i gave for him..
The last few days, i saw him, he was very weak, and couldn't move his right limbs, fever, got ulcer.. that's why i choose him for my assignment...
i did put a cold compressor on him head to decrease the fever.. and some physio with him... but after the next few days, i saw him was in very good condition jus that still cannot talk properly la.. so how am i gonna write my assignment? evaluation is he can move already and vey well le?! HAI~ headache!!Hope he still there la for me to write some more things for my assignment.. hah( is it not good to pray that a patient still in hospital jus for my assignment??)

The five black circle with blue ink on it are representation of the Amy, Su yee, Hooi ting, Kah Ke, and ME!!
The other two circle and square represent the food we call..
namely YOng Tau fu, Fried JIao Zi, Duck...

we finally conquered the AMPANG's famous YTF
we called 20 pieces of YTF,20 pieces of JZ,1/2 duck due to all of us very hungry
We ate them all.. Can u imagine???
oh my so damn lot la... so full
But mostly the things is ate by SY, HT, KK, and me
Amy eat so little but expected
Oh if Han wei and evyonne is here, the things will be finished by faster rate ( less than 1/2 hr)
But if Calvin is there too, haha 1 second, the food is finish..
THe serving is very big lor... unlike the usual YTF u eat .. it is double the size le..
VERy SATISFIED>>>
WE'll head for next destination next time
I am so glad that our class is full of many people who loves and enjoy eating " delicious food"

P.S if anyone want to go to go to AMpang to try the YTF, Pls find a restaurant called " FOONG FOONG" it is one out of the three YTF stall there..

Tung Shin 1st day

As expected,will be shocked by the way nurses really work...
I was least confident with my vital signs unlike my fren who are confident in doing them... i hope i will overcome it soon as i get used to it....
Those nurses there work like robot man...
Never saw people work like them... chaotic in a sense since we are blurr and dunno wat they are up to... we are lost sheep standing at the fence looking at them...
we tried to do our vitals signs on the patient.. but when we get our equipment ready, all the patients are done...they work damn fast.. usually morning shift gets all the hard work... they had limited time and staff to do things ,.. and get them done by a certain time..
We tried to tag along with the nurses... to help them or maybe we need them to let us observe and give chances to let us try he vital signs..
We manage to follow them to sent the patients to OT, Physio, Xray..etc...
But it is jus observation...
as time past, we are dare to ask whether we can do the vital signs... my frens who are more confident did it...
Finally it is my chance to give it a try...
Okay temperature taking was easy ( expected)
Pulse was okay too just that i was nervous, so i scared i will hear my own pulse..
Whoops , mistake! Forgot respiration... next time must remember
Okay the hard part which i think it is hard... B-P.. cos usually i hear my frens' pulses are all quite normal.. so i wonder i can get the accurate reading from the patient or not...
Oh my god, the patient reading was damn high... although my reading is not that accurate cs i release too fast(wat my fren told me, cos i couldn't feel anything too nervous)
So i informed my perceptor and asked her to check for me, cos there is hypotension.
My perceptor told me his BP is like 170/110... OMG!!! so high???
I also get around there but lower a bit... see inaccurate.. so ppl dun find me for BP taking at the moment.. but after posting, i think i can guarantee accurate reading..
Okay after that come to end of the day ( for us nia), we got a chance to hear the nurses passing down their report...
They talk damn fast la.. like bullet train... i can't even hear patient's room number
They use quite a number of abbreviation.
DR who says who.. refer to dr who.. informed dr who... report to dr who...
Oh my... my head is turning..
Good thing the DR and DR thing is for staff nurses.. we student nurse jus need to take note of patient's diet, positioning, other misc
