Chinese reunion, we had BBQ on the menu, this dragon year is all about food, we have shabu shabu on the day we arrived and on this honourable day we had our home based BBQ, How cool was that? It must the blessing and privilege that our grandfather gave to us. We have never have so many varieties of eating dinner.

We are having BBQ at home. Awesome!

First day of Chinese New Year, went to my grandmother house and because my aunt haven't done with the cooking, we decided to go bowling first. Millie and Priscilla manage to catch a movie due to the long queue. Really long queue if i knew that it will be that long, i would have catch a movie myself too. jealous~

Thinking, back i was kinda regret that i wasn't able to take photos in my grandma house, and after the bowling, everyone was tired and was not in good shape anymore ( not pretty) so they didn't want to take pictures. I felt sad cause it was suppose to retain memories by photos, all well my bad too, why didn't i take photos earlier. oh well, First day was not bad, my mom even met her old friend which she haven't met for ten years. Unexpectedly she was a nurse, i didn't say a word when i knew she was in the same field as me. hmm not sure why, shouldn't i get some tips from her???

There was a live show of the lion dance at the bowling center. This is my first and only lion dance for the year.

We played our very antique monopoly that very night. It was a good feeling where all four of us gathered and talked while playing. It was nice.

The Next morning, we have the sticky cake for breakfast. My mom this time added yam. hmmm not bad, but i guess pudu one is still nicer. but this is a healthier choice, less oily. This few days basically go to my friends house and spend time together, gambling ( sad cos lost a lot), my birthday celebration with my friends (with pizza, and stella's home left over, and her astro on demand)

My sis and i have a cheesecake for this year's brithday! Awesome, but couldn't eat much of it, cos i flying tomorrow and we are having dinner at i-lotus. So i only have a little flavour of the bakerlyn cake which is quite nice actually. My house chinese new year tidbits was not a lot, so it was very fast finish as u can see i have many family members.

Lastly, Happy Chinese New Year Everyone, although this year dragon not that good for dragon people nevertheless good luck to everyone and hope that this year would be a great year. Everything will be smooth smooth one. GONG XI FA CAI! Love u all, my friends and family!

Yes, It is coming to the end of the year of 2011. Merry Christmas Everyone in advance. This last month of semester had been filling up with full of hardships, for both myself and my other batchmates, of cos their pain is much more than i could endure. Reflecting back, we have been through a lot, and done a lot and soon we will be separated from each other. I guess we should start planning our graduation party but i don't seem now its the time anymore since there is a crisis. Maybe next year. Hope we make another huge history. With tears of joy.

I wish i could have more time. I didn't manage to go out with friends nor with family even though they come here for wedding. I felt empty. Good thing is that i still have two days with them better than nothing right?

To everyone i know, Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year! May all the bad things go away and good things in our mind, and make new history in the future!

The Final Lap

Actually i wasn't intend to post. but i seem to have some time today. Why? that's because i ignored my moral studies and my ethics' homework. It is reluctant because it was the first week of the semester, it shouldn't be that busy but it is not that we got our holidays to ourselves either, it was all dedicated to uni's items. The semester started quite rough. First is the MQA requirements which blow some of us right off, still swaying. The thing about this MQA thing is that they (the authorities) themselves are confused and thus making us students, the more blur that we can make within ourselves. I was with the BKA issue and others was with the malaysian studies thing. For me, i received a call saying that i was suppose to get them done during the sem 5, i was like " is it? no one told me before." quite disappointed with the imu management at that time because if i were to take it during that time, it would be a problem for me as it was quite free that time. During that sem, before it even start, i was already preparing myself to be ask to take up BKA (which is malay) but we were told that everyone was exempted. How Nice! so i didn't bother to ask nor clarify. yet these thing happen when we are super busy with everything. After this week, i think i got a good solution sorted out after being a pest to the AAD's staff. I guess they even remember us without us explaining. We already haunted them too much.

Regarding the new semester, aside from getting busy with the MQA requirements, moral studies, the usual classes getting real packed, worrying about where to go during electives. What bother me the most is the future. What i really want to do next time? It seems vague to begin with. First of all, i am not a decision maker of my life last time, so it is quite hard for me to make my move now and secondly, my results are not appealing that people would offer me jobs beforehand, so i am in dilemma. All my lecturers said that we should have at least 3 years experience in medical-surgical ward. So that settle my problem in the area i suppose to work in next time. But the issues now is where? Malaysia, or Singapore. I wanted to work in Singapore maybe due to my high school friends and the money currency i am going to get there. But i don't think they would like my kind of results and they are super the competitive so expected workload is there already. Malaysia 's private hospital is also a challenge itself. So yea, i couldn't decide. Both sides, have advantage and disadvantage but none appeals me more than another. So i guess i am sticking with "balloting" with myself again.

After experiencing three years of nursing student life, i often get asked what actually nurses do. Although i am going through professionalism, i understand what nurses do but then their job scope is vague to be able to explain to people what we are exactly doing unless they do it themselves. i bet after the experience they will be like me. Other than those fancy theories we are doing, i agree that nothing in nursing is unique but it is unique in its own way. I understand why people don't appreciate that. First of all, we are helping people to be independent again, and in order to do that we need to teach the basics things that they already knew, that's why nothing is special in nursing, everyone can do it. What we do is not special at all, but what we do to make that happen is the amazing part and this is what i haven't mastered yet. Nurses suppose to be the people to join all other professions but yet being looked down by other health profession. That's bad. I don't like that. I would like to describe nurses as the parents of the patient, we understand them, we love them, we guide them when they need help, support them, and advocate for them. This is what i understand from the three years. But when i being ask what is nurses doing? i still can't tell. Cause it is vague. So if u guys out there happen to be reading this, i apologize, i am confuse myself why i even wanted to write this part. ignore them if it bothers you.

Yesterday, my batch NU108, went to visit our preceptor puan kasma. It was an interesting trip. We laughed, reminisced old times, pulling each others' leg. It was fun. I guess this is why we are different from other groups. We are always full of live. We are the group that love food ( extreme side ) even our preceptor prepared the snacks in big tupperware even though her children and maid say it is nicer if you prepare them in small porcelain or glass containers. She insisted that we will surely finish them in seconds and she need to refill them every second, no way she is doing that. and it is true that we finish in seconds and it is in a large tupperware, imagine that! we are monsters and that thanks to the traffic jam. We chit chat, talked about old times, even talk about next time are we going to visit her or not (as well as other preceptors) and when we graduate where to celebrate ( food is all we think of), and when we get married, all crazy things. It was good. We will definitely miss Puan Kasma and her way of chasing us in the wards.

After the trip, all cars went to their way, some went to reminisce some more in cafes, but out car decided to picnic in the park waiting for the lunar eclipse ( at that time, it was 4 hours before). For the four hours, we went slightly crazy or wild because of the clouds blocking the moon. We sang random songs, play games, create weird stories using the aeroplanes, stars, and clouds. Ending up lying on the ground capturing the "RED" moments, brain washing ourselves that we captured the red moon when it is not even red in our cameras, cursing them afterwards. It was a Fun experience after all. Weird but Memorable. =)

Okay after this post i shall rest and then continue my work. T.T back to reality.

End of Postings in Seremban.

Actually i dunno where to start the emotional part of this day that i have waited for so long.

It have been more than 2 years of stay there in seremban. The time never stops during those days. We are rushing from bj to seremban everytime, settling and start work, then end work then pack bags back to bj and exam and sem break and then the cycle jus repeat itself, never have thought of it to end so soon.

To be honest, on the day itself i never felt the emotional rush. However when uncle say goodbye and the way he shakes my hand, i felt it. I am leaving this place for good. When i come back home at bj, the pieces of memories there, kept flashing back. Although my nursing journey in IMU haven't end, but the memories as a group N108 in the clinicals have ended. Just in a day! I have never really appreciate the existence of the people around me. But today, i am proud and happy that i have chosen nursing at IMU and meet these amazing people of N108, the best colleagues ever. I wouldn't forget the brithday outings we had, the amazing food trip to ipoh and cameron, the time we went to pn kasma, pn saedah's house, ashraf's house, the weird and funny jokes moments, the time we have lots of assignments to write and all camping out late, the awesome dinners and pasar malam. I just couldn't forget each and every postings. Although i felt regret cos never got the chance to work with everyone in n108 but those that i work with are totally amazing enough to say i wish next time my colleagues would be like u guys.

As a student, i guess HTJS really moulded us into a better nurse with a lot of experience. There is no other place than government hospital that would give us more experience as a nurse and as a person in life. There are all sort of patients. I couldn't forget those weird and funny patients whom i attended. The staff although they are not friendly, we learned how to be humble and treat them very nicely even though they being mean to us. I learn to be "not easily tempered" now.

Although it had come to an end, i still have a dilemma for my nursing elective. Hai` that's my weakness, cannot make decision for myself. I have no idea what i am interested in. I guess everyone would give me this answer " SEriousLy, u sure?" I always thought that i would know what i would be interested in after the specialty postings, however i guess my interest level is static and the same for all. Really a headache. Now i would start blaming my childhood. Its been like this for very very long time already. But i believe that i won't regret in which ever part i will chose in the future cos my acceptance level is very high, but i truly hope that i can make the decision this time since this is my career something i gonna spent the rest of my life doing it.

Crazy as it seems, my student life just left with one more semester after the the semester 7 exam and after sem 8 i will be on my own. Can't believe that cos i am not that type like to be alone, i love company but i guess its time for me to move on to the next stage of my life. Jia You Valerie, new future and adventure awaits u. It might be very interesting and challenging, you will never know!

Back from Semester break. Start of Sem 7

It is funny to start a new semester without any excitement feeling at all. I think largely because we know what is expected of us during this semester. To be more focus and able to read literature with lighting speed. Recalling back from the day we had meeting with dr kang, everyone was very tired and expressionless, it was quite amazing and funny. We are already tired of complaining and become more realistic. Is it a good thing or are we being too complacent already.

Semester 7 looks overwhelming. All is about leadership, management and teaching. One word can describe all, responsibility. not to say i hate it, just don't like it. will try to overcome it during this semester, hopefully i will learn to handle situations better like the one i am handling now which i feel helpless.

Being an adult is quite challenging. I don't know can i able to be a good adult. but time waits no man. Even though we don't wan to be, our age is still adding on. So Valerie, jus face the truth and starts kicking.

Mixed Feelings.

I haven't been blogging for a long time, yet i choose to blog during the busiest time of my schedule when i need to finish up an assignment of 3000 words in one day, n yet i choose to be here, ignoring the burden. Thanks to my itchy hand and my brain that is not functioning well these days.

These days a lot of things happen. Things changed from better to worse.

Human relationship is just too fragile.

Human Life is just too short.

Maybe i should choose a religion.

Where i can ask y and trust is my answer to everything.

Prejudice. an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge.

Shouldn't be having that but come on la, as human how to not have prejudice or so called " self made impression about others" I guess everyone is grew up differently, have different beliefs. but but but... just can't accept what had happened to our friends. have they change or did they is always been behaving that way, just that they hide it too well that we didn't realize and couldn't lend a hand when it supposed?

Great disappointment. Too many politics. Too many beliefs. Too many individualist, I just don't understand how can human be that complex. Family is really too important, it is the basic unit of the society. I guess they are jus unlucky to be in those family but i felt sad for them that they choose the wrong path to be unlucky again during their adulthood. Is it that they lost trust in the world that they think that way and do the things they think is right and actually is wrong?? Sometimes i felt useless. i just don't wan to get involved. i think i am selfish. I am avoiding to know the real truth and yet others are revealing them bit by bit. Nasty. really nasty.

Another scenario.

i and my friend witness and involved seeing and reviving a patient that collapse 6 times infront of us.

6 times.

and only three of us did CPR, suction, giving med. where the others?

checking femoral and carotid pulse only? delaying the time of saving the patient?

I felt "xin han".

Is it suppose to be that way?

If i knew that the patient only had 30% of survival rate the maximum got 30 days. i shouldn't save him?

Why is it everyone is depending on us?

we are already out of energy and yet no one take over us?

for those people who went to hell and come back again. I really felt that they are really really the most luckiest people on earth to be able to survive and live again. It is not easy.

Let's give all our blessings to my patient and patient's family so that they can stand strong although one of their family members already not there especially the wife.

Busy busy busy.

Now it is the time i had for myself for dreaming.

i guess building castle is always easy to do as long as u had the time.

But to make it real. that's the hard part even though u had the time.

Theres a lot of ideas that going thru my head that i wan to do to this and that to make it my hobby. to make some difference in my life instead of purely work, study, family.

I wan something for myself. Some accomplishments that please my mental.

I guess these days i felt myself very disorganized and end up feeling that my luck is not there at all.

I guess this is pre depression symptoms. wanted to let go of everything and jus purely do nothing.

Oh well.

My Life is so uneventful.

Life is short some more.

Clock is ticking.

When i got time, the mood is not there.

I guess i need someone to give me a lesson or two on time management.

A Conclusion for JAn and Feb 2011

New Semester - impression wise, tough sem, more work, less time as usual. Lecturers speed during class to finish everything they should be finishing. so they come and go very fast. Not many lecture notes, but need to do lots of reading (which i hate and no time to do so) and need to brush up writing skill. Practising OSCE (during every break -RUSH too), Malaysian studies- hmmm never knew a teacher with much passion and interesting just talking about history. It reminds me of my brunei history teacher ( she know a lot but monotone in teaching but still i had a liking for histroy dunno why)

BIrthday - wonderful. SLSTV's video. My Fren's Treat. Steamboat with sis. Grateful 22nd Birthday.

CNY- Four House visits this time. but less angpaos without cousin brothers' presence. This time my grandfather was being force to stay at KL for four days, that's improvement! This year's CNy made me realised that we are getting closer as relatives. and some secrets are being revealed ( creepy better nt to know). I got to learn a new game. called san guo sha. Basically AIM the emperor!

MOCK OSCE - erm. i guess need to brush up. and don't let us disappoint ourselves mind the teachers.

Class Test- Too rush cos it is right after CNY, which the period i don't do anything. i even forgot what they taught me before the hols. DAmn NOT GOOD. So i guess this class test, i can't expect much.

Seremban- a place i soon to be. Hopefully better experience than the last time!

After looking at my fren's comment on OSCE, i would like to say something. When it comes to OSCE, no matter how many times u practice the steps. Nervousness really can disrupts the whole thinking sequence. Every one procedure JUST before the buzzer sound , i was like aiyah, i should have done this and that but i already told the examiner i finish can't repeat right? Next time, i won't bother about the time anymore, for sure. damn it. It is not only sad that i know where the mistakes are during the osce itself. but it hurts when it comes to lecturers thinks that we didn't practice. i know we are not competent at all, but we did make an effort. To all ignore me, for being so not professional here in fb. Hope u all understand that this is jus for preventing from getting unwanted depression (touchwood)

A New Year!

It was so fast. another is gone behind me.

Things hadn't been changing. Same old routine. Semester start ends, holiday start and end.

Well. i should say although this is the longest holiday i had among the semester break. but it seems that i had the most boring-est last week of holiday. Well at least for the four weeks i didn't waste it.

Spent the first week earning some little cash ( not much) then Spent hols in singapore and genting for another two weeks with family. (nice feeling always whenver u are with family) miss those gatherings as i am getting older, lesser time to be spent with family.

Semester 6. Can't believe i am half way thru my degree course.

Soon i will end my studies. No intentions to end them as i know earning money is hard.

But another half of me wanted it to end because, u know, spending money that is not urs don't give me nice feeling.

Hopefully this semester i will work harder ( always hope as usual .. haha...) and get better results. Be more initiative to get more knowledge. (i am just too lazy)

Just like what the newspaper said i read today, we are not just starting a new year, we are waving a whole decade goodbye. Getting older and older and things around are kept on changing. I wonder why i don't change much. i felt disappointed too. since i start my dieting program. it seems that it came to plateau stage. hai~ i guess because i am blessed staying in a family that doesn't lack of food. i was fed well during the hols so my weight also stagnant no drop since the seremban posting end. so sad. but hopefully soon it will drop again. and i SO wanna change closet. hai~ but one thing also i felt not that satisfy is that mySKIN. It is deteriorating, hai~ when will it stop giving me headache.

Conclusion. Not much of resolution. Much of awaiting of new changes. like new relationships maybe ( am i too desperate? haha)

People with mental illness is not that scary, they may be shouting, saying nonsense, saying things that we don't understand but think twice, don't we also do the same? So conclusion, don't be afraid of them. Show empathy. And they love COMPANY!! and they are sometimes nicer than the real society, with innocent hearts!

hmm.. at the end of the story u and i won't know if i really kena scam or not but personally thinks that it is 80% sure. Because i didn't give in in the end so i am not sure is it a scam or not. but according to them, they do appear on TV >> NTV7 and newspaper.

Oh well. i reached bukit Jalil station after a hectic work shift plus the squeezy KTM. I am very tired and rush out to the lane where i can see taxis and cars. and waiting for my sis to come fetch me. There this guy, coming towards me, offering some kind of bookmark like thing, when i haven't even got time to rest from the KTM chaos. He was telling me that it was free, take it.. My brain wasn't functioning at all due to fatigue, so my brain analyse it as a guy away a advert paper, since he still insist me taking it after a few rejections. I took it then and wanted to walk away. but he stopped me. He said to me, u got to open it. I was " what?! do i have to? i am SUPER tired to do anything." in my brain.. He helped me to open. tearing the dotted area and TADAH, the inside!

Okay what now? grey colour spot inside. He was asking me whether do i go to jusco or something, i was like " no, too busy these days."

After awhile he took out a card, and he try matching the colour. Okay i was looking too..

Okay grey is .... SPECIAL FREE GIFT. i was " okay so?"

He was shaking my hands saying " HEY, u WON a FREE GIFT! okay do u know that one gifts might be a car?" he was trying to show me phamplets to me and also pictures showing that people also got this. but i am so lucky to get this.. bla bla.. he said that i must go to the company now to get the gift if not it will expires. i was like " now?? and WHERE???"

He say must at that moment plus due to this is the first time i kena special prize so i can sure get the prize.

He offered to me to get a taxi and go there straight. I was like " My sister is fetching me now, can i go later or something?"

He was like " no must go now if not cannot get the gift." He grabbed another friend who seems to be the boss. He was like congratulating me.. If got the prize must belanja me KFC a.. i was like i haven't get the money yet dude.

So i called my sister up. Thanks god beside her she got guy friends. SO i ask her to ask her fren to come along.If i do not need to pay anything just to take picture for them to put in newspaper i don't mind and since got people following me there.

However due to my sis was slightly late. this guy were pursuing me to take taxi. He say faster mah. I ask the boss. "I can wait for my sis right?" he say can. i don't like him.

He showed the way to their company. then we went up lor. It was freaky. the lift was old. and when we reached there, got security buttons and WOW man, there are lots of men inside and all are smoking. Oh my god this place is giving me goosebumphs. then we were sent to a room, where we saw this woman sitting on a table. It is freaky too.

So she start explaining. First listing the gifts. 1 car but cukai got to be paid urself. then 2 electric appliances X RM 10000, then 3 is flights to bali, australia, japan. if i can't travel they can give me cash. hmm seems tempting. Okay i tot they will scan my ticket and i was looking forward to the gift i can get. But she start saying about GST tax. She said " u mac and kfc got govt tax right, even this also got tax because our company's income is based on this tax to run." So the amount of tax u need to pay is like RM 5600. I was like " need to pay one meh??" She say" its like this, for this tax right, u need to pay me only when u got this prize. however before i scan the ticket and see which are u getting, u need to prepare RM 5600 and write down all the serial number of the moeny and give me a list of them to me for evidence. After the serial no is given to me, i can then scan the ticket and know which give u getting and then if u get for example the smallest gift is also RM 14000. We will cut the from here u still get a balance of 8000 something so u have nothing to lose."

We argued for awhile as i don't have 5600 now. ATM pun tak ada. So how?

She kept thinking we had the wrong idea, kept explaining.

Finally she get what we meant, okay maybe u can give me half of the 5600's serial number first?

I and my sis don't think it is right, so tipu tipu sikit, saying that we are not interested but interested. and thinking that we should tipu and go down to the bank. When reached the bank then say don't wan the gift.

Okay did i kena scam or not? i pun tak tau!

But as i get older i am not that passionate to any of the things around me.

I become very NOT ambitious.

No passion in everything i do.

that's why there no much improvement in my progress

Paediatric Ward (medical)

Inspired to write this post after reading my senior Venus's post about this ward.

hmmmm actually i didn't intend to write about this week's experience because i don't really like it.

After reading the blog post, i found somebody that had similar thoughts about this ward. not all but almost all.

It is not that i don't like children. It is jus that i forgot how to play with children. Recallin, Last time i was sort of "PRO" in dealing with children, but as time past, the lesser the children population around me. Things Change. I expect a 12 years old to be more mature. I expect children to tell me what they wan instead of me guessing it. Oh well, i need to face the truth too, i am old and rusty now.

Just like what venus said. i do nothing but to take vital signs and wait for another round. and play with newborns ( which are easier to please) Other than that i doesn't feel like getting involve with toddlers nor children. Scream is not the scary part, Dunno how their brain works is the Problem. They doesn't need to catch a breath when crying, when feeling discomfort and THey will do whatever they can to get u out of their sight. but when they are feeling fine as they are healing, totally changed, clinged on u and wanted to play with u. I am confused.

I don't think i am like that when i am sick. I am shy all the way.

I think i need more time to adapt instead of only two weeks.

Sigh, With parents beside them 24-7, makes me dunno how to interact with the child more openly/casually. There is barrier from my side. U know la, child is the most precious thing for the parents.however, those i seen in the ward this week is harsh to their child. Forcing them to drink water. hitting (softly) on the cheeks for not drinking. Some didn't show love to their child. giving maggi and keropok to 18 month old child. OMG O-O. dunno what to say. This particular parent i should say is that she had too many children until she do not appreciates them at all.

Some parents really love the children until the child can do anything to him (father) for example combing his short hair making it into ponytail. What a scene. Can't imagine my dad to let me do that. Too little discipline i should say to this family.

Hopefully next week in the same ward i'll be more active. and get my case. and be more brave to face both the parents and child.

One week is all it takes to kill me but I still have two more weeks with these living thing we call 'children'. That means by the end of two weeks, I'll be worse than dead. I dread vital signs soooo much. I just have to walk near them and they will start screaming. Putting the thermometer under their arms was like stabbing them continuously with a jagged edge dagger. Taking their blood pressure is as if I'm breaking their bones and crushing their flesh. So what do I do after vital signs as 9am? Nothing. You want me to go talk to them? Play with them? Please...I just want the ward to be quiet until the next vital signs.

What's the most upsetting event? Parent thinking I'm tormenting her precious 11th child. I'm like...gimme a break. I'm just doing what I'm supposed to do. I'm not going to be gentle and gugu gaga with your child when she's all violent and abusive. Medication has to be administered. Then? Tak payah give? Who's gonna give? Doctors? Right. You slowly wait la. Then ask why can't discharge home, why haven't recover, why this why that. Yee...over protective parents make me...what's the word? Loya. Yeah, that's the word. This is one heck of a ward I find tougher than psychiatric ward. Children...argh!!!

What is my consolation? The gay doctor is in my ward! Yay! I was thrilled to see his oily hair after a year until I realize he is gay no more. Hmm...people changed huh? He is more funny when he's gay. Lol...no names here. Another interesting thing is to watch a lady administering asthma puff to her baby with a chamber. The 6 month old child lying oblivious on the soft bed. The lady jab the chamber abruptly onto her tiny face, sent her frail body sinking into the bed. Her tiny hands were all over the place. Lol..."

我：妈，我想家了。妈：啥时候回来？爸：缺钱了吧，爸给你打。我：没，不习惯，就是想家了。爸妈：恩，放假早点回来，早点买票，当心身体。爸后来告诉我，打完电话，妈哭了，非怪我爸，当年任由我自己选了这个不熟悉的城市。

大二大三

妈：你很久没打电话了，忙什么呢？我：事情多啊，没时间哎。

爸：***想你了，她一个人在家，没事多打打电话。我：知道了，最近忙呢，有时间再打。爸：什么时候的车，回头来接你。我：不用了，今天留在县城了，再同学家吃饭。妈：我做了一桌子的菜呢，咋又不回来了。我：难得回家和同学聚聚嘛。妈：你也难得回家，我们半年才看到你一次啊。终于到家了，吃饭时间已经过了，饿得很，冰箱里满满的菜，几乎都没动过，老妈说，你不在，你爸喝酒都没有心思。

实习：

我：妈，实习太苦了，我要回家。妈：回家，歇着，养得起。爸：回家，你爸还能干活呢，连你都养不起，我白混了。他们的话，让我很没志气的跑回家躲了很多天。

实习到东北：

妈：最近还忙啊，吃饭了没有啊。我：很忙呢，随便吃了点面。妈：不能光吃面，要有营养的，哪怕到外面点个菜吃。我：恩，知道了。过年回家，院子里晒了N多干货，香肠，家里N多腌制的鱼肉。老妈说，这些不烦神，直接就可以烧了吃了，比吃面条好多了。她冬天手都是开裂的，那些腌肉，都是用盐细细码好的。

现在：

我：妈，等我稳定了你出来玩吧，我现在有钱了。妈：你能有几个钱，外面花费那么贵，省着点。我：我真有钱了，你来也有地方住。妈：我还得照顾你爸呢。老爸是离不开老妈的，我知道，老妈永远是个操劳的命。

每天一个电话，就那么几句话，以至于我觉得老妈都烦了。前天太忙几天没给家里电话，昨天打回去，刚响，老妈就接了，问冻着没，问吃饱没，问累着没？我以为每天都有电话，没有那么多话说的，其实她一直在等我的电话。

每次回家，桌上总有那么些个你喜欢的菜。每次聊天，他们总是会问问，吃饱没，穿暖没，累着没，而我们很少或者根本没有问过。他们曾今是天，说一不二，你从不能违抗。可是现在，他们都听你的了，你说什么都是对的了。因为他们老了，他们开始寻求依靠了，而他们这辈子，拥有的只有我们。多打打电话吧，三分钟的时间真的没有那么难挤出来。可以和爱人一天一个小时，也请给他们三分钟的时间吧。问问今天忙些啥，问问今天吃写啥，就像当年他们问我们的一样，他们不会像我们那样，觉得烦了。

记得有一次跟朋友聊天，朋友说："就按我一年回家5次算，保佑咱爸妈能活到100岁也就还能见他们200多次，真少！"我努力地连搬指头带思考地想了想，确实！

看到这篇日志，我默默流泪，所以就转了。不是我多愁善感，是咱欠爸妈的太多，太多... ...

1st week in SCN~

Haha. i am back in KL again! but only for the weekends nia.

After that got to get back and deal with a new setting. this time is gonna deal with kids.. hmmm i dunno whether can handle them or not le?

Oh well let's get back to where i been to in this week!

SCN special care newborns.

newborns are everywhere.

There are three rooms for newborns.

1st incubator babies which is jus born.

2nd room, the most stable babies.

3rd room, phototherapy room for jaundice babies.

This is the first time i handle babies. the last time i guess is when i was still very young holding my sisters... hmm doesn't consider know how to handle cos i am a big baby at that time too.

Babies is actually very easy to take care. because they only had a few concerns. COLD, HUNGRY, POOPOO, PAIN, DISCOMFORT And the only way to tell us adults are to cry!

It is annoying in the sense that every baby had different type or should i say different sound of cry. Some have High pitch especially preterm babies and it is very irritating to the ear u know and when they really cry very hard it is very painful to hear.

Only one baby gave a cry that i from the day i live until now i think it is a normal baby cry. maybe because she is older.

Today a lot of baby cry. First of all because they were being 'poke' by doctors for blood taking. So when we are trying to bath them, they were shaking and crying continously upon touch. So pity them. Next thing is that the baby is on tube feeding so they feel very hungry as nothing goes thru the mouth and goes straight to the stomach. So need to feed them a bit of milk in the mouth to make them stop crying.

Holding the baby is so nice but they were so heavy to hold unless u are holding preterm one. They are so soft and delicate and very nice to touch ESPECIALLY the hair!!! OMG love the hair and FACE. but some babies do have peeling skin which is slightly rough but overall is SO CUTE with the eyes big big and hands and feet small small. LOVES them.

Compared with my friends experience in other wards me with the babies is the best!!!!

BORING!!! yet the most worthy place to go for LEARNING.

YES. interesting.

ERm, i guess being an observer not that interesting.

4) What u like about the posting at the moment?

i guess the OT gowns i going need to wear in the SCN and labour ward. It is nice to wear something that the anaesthesia and surgeons are wearing. and something other than my white uniform. hmm but i don't like the colour, cos it is dull grey. i like bright colours like light blue and light purple.

Let's talk about the deparments that i am going.

( this is what i think before i see the ward. shall post on what it is the real feeling about each ward later hopefully got time to do so plus if i am not lazy)

First up i will be going to SCN

Which stands for Special Care Newborns!!!

NEWbornsss... scary to be the place to go u know, they are so fragile, so small, and delicate, easily slip of ur hands as their skin is super soft ( that's what my lecturer say la, haven't hold newborn yet)

Should be interesting seeing incubators ( boxes that baby will stay in) and putting our two hands into the box and do everything for them that way.. hmm interesting right... not easy u know.. the movement are so restricted making me so cacat. ( why i know cos tried on our skills lab incubator.

Nice thing about this ward too, i will be wearing the gown i mentioned earlier with CROCS shoe (not real but still nice to wear!!!!) !!!

Look forward to do assessment for the newborns, reflexes is so amazing!

Medical and Surgical Paediatrics WARd

Where all the children are...

Hmmm it seems fun but then i don't like to play with nor watch sick children and force them to take medications which it SEEEMS VEry THe HARD!!

Plus parents are always very concern about the children, being incompetent now is not very nice and hard to make them feel that it is safe to handle their children..

So we'll see how it goes in the ward. Hopefully NICE!

After paeds,

All is about WOMEN during PREGNANCY. or shall i put it all about REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM!!

First will go to LABOUR room,

hmm not fascinating, cos will see all the BLOODy SHOW! plus all the shouting , crying , tension and STRESS!

But still look forward, because never seen a real live giving birth scene so YEA look forward although it is disgusting in some point or another.

We had great fun in cosplaying it in the skills lab so i think not that bad in the real situation. How bad could it be? Who knows?

After labour roon i'll be heading to gynaecology deparment..

hmmm people may wonder is the patient there all pregnant?

NOpe. This is a ward for people who had problems with reproductive problems, ranging from Amenorrhea to Ovarian cancer.

Will see different side of women, where more sad case will be in here Cause ONLY PROBLEMS come here.

It is more of what we do in the Med-Surgical Ward.

It is more of How u handle Grief and history taking. Challenges are to handle EMOTIONs. Why? Is hard to tell the women that she can't get pregnant or u need abortion. (for example)

My last stop will be in Maternity Ward.

hmmm, this is about monitoring, health education...breastfeeding (challenge, we need to teach ppl when we ourselves cannot feel the problems that they might be facing.. hard to empathize)

Not very interesting but still Something new so wait and see. might have something interesting appear!

AFTER SEREMBAN, We will be heading to IPOH, Mental health and psychiatric WARD. hmm the MOST interesting of all.

Experiencing something that we never gonna experience in Seremban hospital.

Hopefully i don't get too high with the activities there.

Institutional nursing, first time, so i wonder how it likes. I might Like it. or Hate it.

It is a place that is look more like a house style eating area.

The workers there are very friendly.

This is the first i tried indian food.

and i am not a person who likes the spices especially SPICY part.

But truthfully, it TASTES damn good.

but i think due to i don't usually don't take Spicy food plus that my food doesn't mixes alot..

my stomach seems to fight with me..

i eat damn slow.. eat two full mouth of rice, i need to wait for my tongue to accomodate the spicy.

it doesn't spice when u eat at first but when u eat a lot the hotter it gets..

i like the currry... plus the chicken and mutton but the mutton really kills me, SO HOT yet so nice!!!.

hmmm and at night, we went to a place called "da shu xia" (UNder the Big Tree)

Wow, the hokkien mee , lor mee, fried mee hoon, NOT BAD eh.

next time will try to eat there again but erm due to it is at night saw a rat... maybe next time will taupao only... but aiya rats in malaysia is inevitable especially beside hawker stall.

There are many frens of mine are having internal fights.

Because of they care each other too much..

Which makes small things became the barrier to get back together, forgive each other.

It is not necessary to be like that.

I am happy for one pair of my frens as they finally resolved and get back together as BFF.

But another one is still in a fight.

I hope things will get well for them as well.

It is not worth it to lose a fren that both parties care for each other.

Today my friend read the newspaper on the topic about " how people communicate? Do u know the real meaning behind them?"

This is the real world.

Everyone don't always speak what they really meant.

They always put it the way that is nice to hear.

Sometimes it is because don't want the person who hears it too hurt.

But most of the time is because they wan u to get the message and others can't hear it.

Every person is Selfish. I don;t deny that because it is the truth everyone is selfish and are protective of themselves in all ways.

And this friend one mine, says that she don't understand.

Of cos, she still in the innocent stage.

But i should say, it is nice to stay innocent although u might be confused and feel weird.

Trust me, it is better than u understand what they meant,

This game is weird..
It is not weird since i play it. it is called PASS in my school.
I said it is weird that my fren played it differently.
She called it " the 7th grade PIG game"
This is how the game works,
U pass the card as usual.
once u get 4 cards of the same number,
U hit the middle and everyone follows, and the last person to hit the middle will lose.
The person lost that set of game will be upgraded to 1 grade pig.
and 1 grade pig can talk to anyone but the humans which is the 0 graded pig were not suppose to talk to the 1 grade pig. because if u talk to them automatically upgraded to the same level.
So after SO many rounds i was still human..
it was torturing..
COZ i can talk to no one!!!!!!!!!
So i kept iniviting humans into the game. but they don't last.
And those tricky pigs.. kept eyeing on me..
I became pig at last at the last few rounds cos i didn't pay attention.
It was Fun afterall..

it seems that i was very busy and no time to give it to here...

First week staying at seremban.
Lots happen there.
First it is the house we stayed. SUPER nice to stay in compared to last time where we need to share the place with rats. ewww. so now it is haven't and stayin wif super nice Uncle.
Things had been busy in the ward.
Last day of the ward was my first time seeing a patient dying in front of me.
It was sad.
Especially when u saw the whole process.
It is called "AN LE" die i suppose.
It is a bit saddening when i told the doctor " could u look at the patient, she seems to not breathing"
I know she had cheynes stroke respiration ( which is breath for a while, stop, then breath again) but that one was a bit long. plus she vomited and with cold extremities, something is wrong.
and the doctor jus treat me like the family member, screen us. and told me, " okay this patient is DNR - do not resusitate. so we can't do much for this patient, we can't do CPR all that stuff. do u understand? if we resusitate her she will be suffering."
of cos i understand. but don't treat me like the patient's family le.
It made me sad. it made me feel " hello she is still alive and u told me this?"
So it was clear that she was DNR case. So i jus clean up my stuff and leave the patient.
After i finish cleaning, my fren told me that the patient had died. my fren even cried.
i on the other only feeling sad and feel like a tear in the heart.
We clean up the patient. unknowingly, i felt like there is a smile in her face. am i hallucinating?
yea, i am. at that point it made me recall back that she was still moving her hands so vigorously the other day. now. silent. everything is so silent. It is that calm for one to die? i am still in dilemma.
Okay i think this will be a full stop to this event.

since i come back from seremban for the weekend. i suppose i should update my blog on certain topics before seremban postings:

CNY in KL

This is the first time my whole family decide to celebrate our cny in KL and did an open house to our relatives.

Didn't imagine that coming but yea, it came to be quite a success.

Although we have not much to offer. Small space and such.

So the whole CNY i was like went to my relative open house.

Didn't get to see my grandpa though. cos he didn't came out from setiawan and neither do we went in.

Cos we initially tot he will come out.

All my father's sister and brother is all present.

The second generation with family not here. hehe all went to wife's hometown.

so it is basically Lee's family gathering from cny eve to cny third day.

CNY eve= Uncle lawrence's house. Fastastic feast. chinese Style. Watch a fantastic Kicking Movie.

CNY First day= Auntie Meilan's house. So Crowded with ppl. Get to eat mian xian. NICE :P

CNY Second Day= Went to explore melaka. What a hot weather there. End up cramp legs due to sudden change of car seats' condition. Got a blister as present from melaka. :( its healing now.

CNY Third day= My Open House. Make full use of my condo facilities. Had variety of meal from KFC >>Pizza>> Sushi>>Spaghetti>> Lasagna>>Tang Yuan>> Chinese cooking >> Got a speacial meat one dunno call what red red in colour. nice too.

CNY Fourth day= Went to Lou sang at Subang's Kopi Shop. Nice taste. Mmm. never knew lou sang can taste so much better than the one in my memory. And of course ate lots of other yummy food too. Loves Boxing chicken. but cannot eat too much. Fattening.

Fifth Day= My Dad and Mum and Sis Went back to Brunei early morning. So it is basically end of CNy with family.

Sixth Day= Went to susan's place to visit her. Did lots of crazy thing. not to mention here.

Seventh Day basically SLeep and rest. Cos very tired. dunno y le. Maybe feel sad due to the end of cny hols?

That day we all woke up @ 4am and departed at 4.20pm

Everyone in the car is sleepy.

As Some of us didn't sleep last night.

I sleep late last night and wake up at 3.30.

However this doesn't make me sleepy.

But instead, very HIGH.

I guess it is excited.

So we singing in the car. chatting. talking nonsense.

We are quite hungry as the car move until half way thru the journey.

ALong the way we stopped by for toileting.

At the peak, we wanted to go further but there was two guy saying that there is all tanah runtuh. Not advisable to go.

So we went back down the hill

We had lunch after the hiking.

Okay. Days had past.

Time to blog about my B'day

My 21st birthday.

Not grand. but meaningful.

Great frens, Great present, Great place to celebrate.

I really didn't expect much on that day. as usual went to imu didn't think that it is a special day.

Cos i was stress and tired by the timetable.

As i need to go to school damn early.

Sleepy.

Eyebags.

But i manage to get myself dress nicely and put down my fringe.

To make the eyebags less obvious. it works. hehe.

Went to IMU, the first thing i stepped on the classroom. i heard birthday greetings from everyone. Expected.

Happy too.

Lunch time eat with my BFF susan ting.

Thanks for the lunch. too bad we can't go out and makan as we planned to do so.

Next it is the whole day classess and classess

But good thing is that our teacher let us go early today..

Weird but lucky.

My fren say i bring luck to the class.

Erm i shall not say it is my luck cause i really don't think so.

a bit funny. cos it is a small cake only.

Later actually i was supposed to eat with my sis.

but she suddenly very busy no time to makan with me.

So i ended up going out with my frens to eat steaks.

actually b4 going out with them i confidently say i will eat wif my sis. and turned down their offer to eat dinner with them.

i feel paiseh. cos it seems like i take them as "shui po"

i really didn't mean to do so.

My lecturer say there is no such bandage.

The night that i and sis need to stay elsewhere.

Yup. I guess everyone knew my socket at my house blown up. created smoke which filled the whole room of mine. disgusted. hardwork in cleaning it up.

And Yes jus like the title say, i and sis went to stay overnight at my aunt house.

Not comfy as i get to sleep on floor.

But i can't complain, right. no choice.

I didn't what exactly happen. but i can tell u wat i saw when it happen.

Apparently, It blew up is because obviously overload is the cause.

I was taking a bath.

Suddenly the electricity went off. i tot it was short circuit at first.

Then suddenly i felt that the water became so damn cold. what happen to the heater?

Suddenly i heard noise and smell weird outside my bathroom.

So i went out naked. OMg. the socket was burning. so i went towards it naked ( embarassing but thank god my sis is outside room plus the door is closed)

Since the fire went poof when i approached it so i went back to the bathroom to get my towel and approached it again.

Try to take out the socket with another cloth but it seems like the whole socket head melted.

All well. tis is the time i call my dad and aunt.

But due to i haven really clean all my shampoo on my head therefore i went back to take bath and ask my sis to call.

Of cos before that open window and hopefully the smoke went away.

So the smoke is still in the room. and dunno why my sis is so damn high!

So we end up lighting up candles and took some photos to entertain ourselves while waiting for my aunt.

New Semester. SEM 4

Lookin at my timetable is a wow.So packed.

didn't knew first day is even WOWer.

We had our new Semester coordinator.

She give lectures in a very fast mode.

She talks very fast. can finish lots of slides in one period. which usually ppl can only finish in 2-3 periods. She still can maintain a non-monotonous tone.

Meet Peter Pook the first day, realise that our group had become dun like to comment nor complain when he ask for feedback of last sem.

There's none. Cause we knew no matter what we ask, will never happen.

When we post a question, he'll answer back, " I think we can work this out, so what suggestion do u guys had in mind?"

Isn't that answering our own question.

Another lecturer also gave us a bang in our head. She mentioned " no notes, until u give me something, this sem i'll try new strategy. If u don't give me something, i won't give u"

Wow, man , she wanted to try to make us do extra reading but wanted to delete the basic reading, isn't that a " too big" for a change?

Today i finally get up the courage to find our my MUET result. so it is wat i expected i gt band 3.

What the __? y don't let me get band 4. hai~ sad need to repeat. y only malaysian need to do MUEt. it is a secondary thing, y they can't acknowledge my cambrigde o level? Now u wan me to write GP essay is impossible because i totally knew only nursing in my head.

So stupid.

Okay back to Sem 4.

The modules are more this sem.

Harder sem with harder modules.

Look forward though.

Hopefully get over it smoothly.

According to my lecturers, this year will be tougher.

as in the subjects and all.

So there there, need to study hard once again. cycle repeats itself every sem. study in imu, then find place to stay in seremban, then postings, then study break, then exam. there ends of sem 4.

For my new year resolutions, i think obviously everything goes well. then hopefully there is some new achievements that i can outwit myself. that is the most important. Because i think my life is a bit dull. so hopefully 2010 is a better year to make a better me.

It was because that i watched twilight two, jus to clear some confusion.

Went to do some community job.

It is a free clinic for myanmar people that are illegal immigrants.

A lot of people come with their babies.

My job is to take weight.

So the whole day i was going up and down.

Went to Sunway Pyramid this time. didn't plan to go there actually, wanted to rest.

Due to there is a fire drill practice in my condo, i went to kah ke's place.

The reason is they wanted us to use the staircase and come down. HALLO, if i in 10 floor okay la. but i am in 17th floor, no way i'll run down. i run away and hide at kah ke area. i bought breakfast and we eat together, sending Shi yee off. After that help kah ke change

her bedroom's feng shui. then we both sleep. until 4 . Then feeling hungry ate something. then decide to go sunway for shopping since i got to buy pants, run out of pants in my closet.

So we went shopping, tried oout a lot of clothes.

I bought 2 pants and 1 top.

and took pictures with a snowman.

After shopping, we went to eat kenny ROger's roaster.

Ordered the new menu, spaghetti and chicken on same plate.

I ordered cheesy chicken with side dish -aromatic rice.

Kah ke choosen Tangy chicken with mash potato.

Okay here is the weird part.

If u guys love laksa, then try this new style.

Tangy chicken is totally eating laksa with spaghetti as the noodle.

The smell and taste is totally laksa.

After eating, we shopped some more, then bought some J.CO donuts.

Bought tickets to watch Storm Warriors. Still failed to watch princess and the frog. really no "yuan fen"

This movie is the most funniest and most not worth to watch movie.

Firstly the plot is simple.

Secondly, dialogue is so little. only one look at each other, they understand each other, the characters seems like can read mind. The dialogues are really little until i can memorise it. especially aaron kwok's.

Thirdly the technology is so many until the movie is so comic like. i think it is purposely done but erm, i still prefer old style movie. whether people acting the whole war out. not like the below.

So in order to forget the fear of results, i decided to go out everyday.

So start of my post exam activities.

but didn't know that the first time i went out late so come back quite late.

We went to bintang walk to see decorations. we ate claypot rice and bakar fish along the way at Petaling street before went there.

At bintang walk, we walk and walk. take pictures, and reached pavilion, and obviously take pictures of the deco there too.

And we watch late night movies and went back. Quite tiring.

ERm, actually i oso dunno want to write how i feel about the exam or not. but i can tell u, i am not yet relief, even though now is already a few days after EOS.

The feeling i feel is not the same as the last two sem, so i fear.

moreover, this time is the first time i write assignment in case study form. plus not confident in answering sociology and PHC paper. Ah.. but it is over, and i will know the results two day from now. Hopefully, okay lor.

10.. When you pay RM10 for something that costs RM1, you blame the Chinese.

11. When a government service is too slow, you blame the Malays.

12. When a building is not good and collapsed, you blame the Indians.

13. When a Chinese student won a scholarship, you say 'Wah! Very clever hor?' When a Malay student won a scholarship, you say 'Aiya! Of course lah! He Malay mah!'

Sem 3 Postings.

Finally got time to update my blog. which starts to collect a lot of dust.

Obviously this post will be all about postings.

SEREMBAN first destination -- 6 weeks.

This is the first time i went to seremban.

First time rent a basement and sleep in the living hall like bedroom.

First time need to withstand my rats' phobia inorder to stay in the house.

First time jogging every weekends and afternoon.

First time manual washing clothes for so many clothes and for so long.

First time take care of 20 patients at one shift.

First time work so many extra hours at work.

First time work with seniors.

First time walk staircase up to six floor. ( even though there is lift)

First time being the only students in the ward ( meaning only imu students no other colleges)

First time visit to imu sereban clinical school

First time thinks that government hospital should not the choice of admitting in.

So let me talk about some interesting and funny experiences i had this time round.

I work in three different wards for 6 weeks, 2 for each ward.

There is this patient who suffer from some mental problem.

I am not sure how this illness which cause this patient to be.

But he is definitely different in his action and the way he express his feelings.

He went into hospital because of burns on his body.

It is quite long to clean his wound. and due to his condition, he sometimes obeys u sometime not.

and moreover his wound is damn big. it is a bit irritating. He need to change his dressing lots of time not because the wound is deep or dirty by itself fast. but it is because he will take off the bandage himself. quite headache about it.

One thing that is really headache about him is that he fell in love with the wheel chair.

There is one time, a patient staying in front of him, wants to take bath, but he is weak, therefore it is a must for us to wheel him to toilet, i guess he saw the wheel chair and us wheeling the patient. he felt fun in it. Right after the other patient come back from bath, he ask our permission that can he use the wheel chair? and ask ur to push him around.

The problem is that he is capable of walking on his own plus wheelchairs are needed for others who are weak of incapable of walking.

Okay, he insisted and start asking everyone to bring him in wheel chair. okay fine for the first time. The rest of the days he will also ask. but this time out of the ward. which is any problem, so the staff nurse there warned him that only one time in one day can let him use the wheel chair out of the ward.

The students there were made confused and in the end bought him out three time. He is smart right. ask different ppl. in the end everyone knew he lie.

One day, i was asked by him to wheel him , and i told him that the wheelchair is out of stock (lie)

and i ask him to walk around the ward instead. He is so big and since he got a tracheostomy which cause him to have a crock crock sound, i really thinks that i have taken a godzilla for a walk.

i remember the first time i take him to the toilet. OMg after he done his business he will take the hose and washed his buttocks but the problem is he didn't tell us, and we didn't he was going to wash his buttocks with the hose, then splash. out of the toilet. good thing we was managed to avoid the water, i realised he is not good in handling the hose, it kept on splashing outside.

Although he is so weird, he is quite pitiful. He stays at the hospital for so long, he told me he had mother at home, but never saw her visiting, i tot he was bluffing. he kept on saying he want to look outside, but when i let him see, one glance and it is over, i guess he is searching for his house, it is not there so he look so fast.

But good thing is that at the end of the week, his mom did come and pick him back. He is so happy. i was happy for him too.

I experience two weeks of only imu student nurse in the ward. Wow that week was SO wow.

Erm how to say... firstly because got more procedure to do, we are like students doing management. need to manage the ward ourselves, the task need to be distributed properly as there is nt enough ppl to spread the work, time management really need to be good.

Got one day, i was like a full time "wheeler"

I kept on sending patient down to other deparment.

I some sort doing a tour around hospital.

I went to CT scan, X ray dept, haemodyliasis.

I remember someone ask me to pick up patient from haemodyliasis, but then i was doing vital signs. but i know that there is not enough ppl to spare time to pick, so i ran down super duper fast and pick up the patient. i didn't run after that but jus fasten the pace. When i reached the ward, the staff nurse was shocked, " Hey LEE, Sangat cepatnya kamu, LARI while pushing ke?"

Then i realised i was so fast, i ask the patient" mak cik, okay ke? ada pening?" she say no but her daughter who is following us, " eh, kamu sangat cepat a, saya pun jalan sangat cepat juga."

So sorry to them. hehe.

Other experience i don't remember well jus bits and pieces, so i shall not mention here.

And about sad experience, i wouldn;t wan to remember so , i shall not write too.

So roughly that's some interesting time of my posting experiences at seremban.

As for sungai buloh 4 weeks .

I enjoy the klinik postings the most.

So care free.

Love the working time.

Love the colleagues there.

Love the environment, so cosy and cold.

Learn a lot of thing. Did echo for patients, so cool.

SAW cool procedure in scope room, love the HOD. He is so handsome and PRO. Fell in love in his skills.

Yuzu Paste snowkin - this is one of the best snowskin mooncake in Singapore. Richly filled with citrussy and aromatic skin and juice of the Japanese fruit, the white snowskin mooncake (above, left) just flood your mouth with Yuzu heaven. It's even more concentrated than the lovely Yuzu souffle you get at the Regent's Lobby Lounge's afternoon tea at weekend. $47+ for 8 pieces.

The other snowskin flavours and the soft snowskin dough itself are good too - signature black sesame paste with melon seeds, yam paste, and durian, green tea with yolk and melon seeds. $45+ for eight pieces for most of them.

For traditional baked mooncake with a twist, the mixed nuts and Parma ham (above) is a remarkable attempt by Basilico Italian restaurant. The Italian ham tastes more refined and less strong-smelling-and-tasting compared to Chinese Jinhua ham. Those who enjoy beef jerky might like this. Some of the ham pieces are soft while some harder. You might need a strong set of teeth and patience to enjoy this slowly, enjoying the savoury meat juices mingling with the nuts. Another good thing, it's not sweet unlike the typical mixed nuts and ham mooncake. $51+ for 4.

This came as a shocker as we weren't quite prepared for the sharp pickled ginger and pungent century egg pieces tucked in the custard paste. But what a welcome! Not another sweet mooncake. It was quite delicious with a tangy, savoury taste. St Regis recommends Inniskillin ice wine and TWG's coconutty Caribbean Voyage tea to go with it. $46 for box of 8

Other new flavours: Mint Snow Skin with Yolk and Pandan Custard (refreshing with gentle Pandan flavour, $46 for box of 8); Almond Snow Skin with Kirsh Cherry Truffle and Mocha Paste (exquisite Griott cherries in this one, $70 for box of 8); Sugar-free White Lotus Paste (Baked, $50 for box of 4) and Double Yolk Mocha Paste ($56 for box of 4).

i realised that i never post a blog since the time i landed in malaysia... maybe due to it is a bit rush, and the next day i need to do a lot of cleaning, packing, filling up the empty frigde, prepare the next day class ( by printing notes) plus wanted to meet up with susan, so everything seems to be RUSH RUSH RUSH, it seems like yesterday i baru landed here but obviously not

Many things past but i still could remember the TAXI driver who miss a junction at the lebuhraya while sending me back to my condo. Remember the way he say " AIYA! i miss a junction" and this cause him to turn a big round to get back on track.

SEM 3 so far, is kinda very packed... the timetable especially.
from 8 straight to 6/7
then accompanied by presentations' discussion which always dragged until 7.30
reached home super tired le, still had to make some simple dinner, wash clothes ( puttin them into the washing machine), print notes( due to my STUPID printer, it usually take a long time to finish)... study a bit... then SUPER tired then flung to the bed...
The process is continously repeating itself until today
cause tomolo the process shortens a bit but due to upcoming test, it still looks the same
This sem 3 i was infested with all kind of SYSTEM diseases

All clinical symptoms seems the same,
tidak tahu how to differentiate one and the other,
trying the very best
hopefully everything lancar
in reaching my litttle brain!

Talking about sleep, i really cannot have less sleep
i will surely either cannot listen anything in class or couldn't wake in the morning
i am SINCERELY "pei fu" those who only sleep for <4 hrs a day especially MY sis and SY
